SECME's primary objective is to increase the pool of underrepresented and underserved students studying engineering, math and science through a collaboration of universities, industry/government agencies, school systems, and students in K-12. Member schools form SECME teams with workshops and Olympiads hosted throughout the year to provide students with the opportunity to experience hands-on engineering through Mousetrap Car and Bottle Water Rocket competitions.

FAU awards over $3,000 scholarships per year to SECME students from High Schools in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. For more SECME scholarship details click here
