About FEEDS
FEEDS is a statewide system in Florida providing access to university courses at
corporate sites, government agencies and individuals. The goal of FEEDS is to deliver
engineering and computer science programs to students any place and any time.
The Florida Engineering Education Delivery System (FEEDS) is a product of the
co-operative effort of universities within the state of Florida colleges of engineering
and private industry throughout Florida. FEEDS was developed in response to the expressed need
of Florida's technological industry for access to quality graduate continuing education
programs in engineering. Established in 1983, FEEDS has been a leader in offering
distance learning courses.
The Florida Engineering Education Delivery System (FEEDS) is a statewide system
whereby engineering courses are delivered to industry sites and
cooperating centers around the state. FEEDS is a cooperative effort among the
colleges of engineering at the following institutions:
Courses originate from these institutions and are delivered to industry sites
and cooperating centers. Cooperating Centers, though they do not originate courses,
offer a non-industrial site to view courses offered through FEEDS. Cooperating Centers are:
Modes of Delivery
FEEDS can deliver courses to students at work and other educational institutions
through one of the following methods:
- DVD;
- Streaming video; and
- Two-way video broadcasting.
